I just found out that an ex-gf who I admittedly still have feelings for (which I don't want to have b/c she's walking malevolence) is getting married. She's happy, I'm not; she doesn't deserve to be.

On a sidenote: Why do people feel comfortable venting crap like this anon. to strangers? It pisses me off when others do it to me, yet I find myself doing it now. I think because I feel the need to vent and there is nobody to tell.

getting married. I remember, like it was yesterday...and it was 19 years ago. I just sat in the bath tub, with the water running, as tears streamed down my face. And, contrary to what anyone may think, I do not like to cry.

I feel better knowing I'm actually justified in being upset.

For me...love is: When you love someone, their well-being and happiness comes before yours.

That is to say, your happiness rests on theirs.......

Also, you love someone when you respect them.....

You're not trying to change them...you accept them for what and how they are...

These define love .....for me......

And I try to treat my loved ones these ways......:loveya: :hug:

sweeps away all happiness, all complacency, all trust. Love Stinks (yeah yeah). Maybe I'm a bit of a cynic.

In the moment it is a complete loss of self and a joining with another soul creating a complete and new being. It is complete trust in the certainty that your other would never hurt you intentionally. It is a peacful eddy in your raging life and a meteric ascent from a stagnant one. It is the rarest of conjunctions, once found, to be treasured above all other human interactions. It is fragile and invincible at the same time. Once experienced, one is never the same again. It brings a fluidity to two souls hardened and tempered by their lives allowing the formation of a new compound never before created and never again duplicated. It is something you cannot seek out. Something which appears first in the corner of your eye and takes over your field of vision before you are aware of it.


And it CAN HAPPEN MORE THEN ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!!! So be at peace, it will come to you.

I believe it can happen more then once. It has to me, though I am old and have lived a wild life. It's the best and worst I've ever felt, sometimes within the same moment.
