An odd string of minor bad luck...
Check this out; it all happened to me over the last couple of days:

Received package from China with wrong item in it.

Received mail-order DVD with a big scratch on it.

Ordered a pizza last night: First it didn't arrive because the order didn't get processed, then when it eventually arrived it was the wrong pizza.

Turntable belt broke.

Got a flat tire.

Lost my glasses (temporarily).

Shipped wrong item to a customer.

Lost a $5 bill.

My doctor is taking a month-off for some major surgery.

I left my deck umbrella open during a windstorm. I have done this before, with the resulting loss of previous umbrella(s). I finally took the bull by the horns, however, and I now bungee the umbrella in place. So this time the wind only snapped it in two.

My camera broke.

I'm not complaining, I just think it's a remarkable string of events.

2. Usually bad things happen in 3's
not 12's. I'd say you've done your time. One exception, the deck umbrella. :spray:

9. The umbrella was an exception
now you've got a dozen. Or if you really want to count the umbrella, a baker's dozen. I think you're done. :)

4. Man that's nothing
I have a karmic feedback loop going that would make a spatter of your brains. Like when I threw up in a cab and lost my wallet with $250 in it at the same time. That was some instant cabbie compensation.

7. Hmm... vomiting. cab. $250.
May I suggest at this point that perhaps there were more tangable forces working against you that night?

8. I didn't recognize alcohol and stupidity as tangible at that point
But then there wasn't much I could recognize at that point.

You would have woke up in Blood Alley $250 short,
your pants around your ankles, a sore ass and a
thankyou note stapled to your forehead.

I vaguely remember the Somali cab driver's resigned lamentations, and then I remember being asleep.

14. They're all Sikhs here. If they wear a turban it means they're religious..
and they don't drink so.......

get drunk, call a Sikh cab driver a raghead for twenty
minutes, pass-out in his cab and he will treat you to a
special kind of cruelty and treat himself to a tip.

17. Tell the driver you just ate at Vij's and before you pass out tell him..

to take a ten dollar tip out of your wallet when
he drops you off, unconscious, at your place de residence
You'll be fine and $200 richer. Vij is a local rock
star in Vancouver.
