Update From MrsGrumpy
I just got a pmail from MrsGrumpy letting me know how her dad's surgery went and asking that I post an update in the lounge for her, she is exhausted (she has been up since about 4:00 a.m.) and has gone to bed. The gist of her pmail reads as follows:

All is well, so far. They got the tumor out and are waiting for a couple of days to scan. He's a bit weak and is bleeding a bit. I'm going off to bed. If you think of it, could you post here that he is good so far?


Please continue to send out the healing energies and good thoughts and prayers and meditations for DaddyGrumpy.

9. I spoke with her earlier. She was going to stay at the hospital
until they kicked her out. She is optimistic, however, any doubt that it was cancer has all been put to rest. They didn't take the whole kidney though, just the tumor.

20. I spoke with MrsG this morning
She said she is very pleased at how much attention the hospital staff is giving to DaddyG and he had a good night. She will update us when she can and thanks everyone for all the good thoughts and prayers.

24. *Poppy owes a lot to DU...
thank you everyone. I cannot tell you enough how this is the happiest day of my life.

So far, he is well. He is still numb at the surgery site. ( a heck of a gash because they packed him with ice) but his vitals are quite stable and the nurses already adore him.
