My 1000th post!!!! I finally did it . What is your #?

I doubt that I will ever get to 1000 - just don't post that often. Usually someone else has already said what I would have so I don't want to repeat.

Presidency. I post when I feel confident or need to share or need to understand a stray thread or complicated problem. Thanks for being in this boat with me. If I can make it you are a shoe in.

(I waited over a month to make my announcement)then one minute before I post - our post keeper enters everyone's major post milestones. I guess I have the worst timing. Well, I'm not a post virgin anymore and like most milestones they come and go important just to you. Happy Post Birthday to all posters who have reached the big 1000 and thought it was a big deal and feel glad to be among the older DUers.

Religion and Theology is the worst by a long way, but recently I have begun to try to unflame it. Difficult. Though there are a lot of nice places, and nice people here. Whether you are after some chat amongst like minds or a completely new take on the world, you can find both and lots between here. I like that.

Has some stunning peaks, like Mt Ruapahu. (spelling!) And it is cold. But Australia has the most natural beauty of anywhere.... except it is really spread out. But anywhere you go in Aust it is almost certain that something beautiful is nearby.

country. I'll have to look around and find some pictures of the rest of the country. It is huge and like the US it must very a lot. Can you give me some names of amazing places. I would love to see them.

(Except Uluru) Look for national parks, and there are some ancient forests around in Tasmania especially, and of course the great barrier reef. They are the big ones. 'Sydney' harbour btw.

Did you see the zoo or the Royal Botanic Gardens in (and around) the harbour, but the best thing is to look for tourist info.

Have not been there in a long time but it is much smaller.

I'm surprised that DemocraticUnderground doesn't host forums for other websites (i.e. Democrats.com use the DemocraticUnderground forum engine, only have democrats.com forums visible on their site, and that way we can gain a bigger partnership).

I started out on Democrats.com but found out about here and kind of stuck around. I like the pace here; Democrats.com is good but doesn't move fast enough for me. When I'm used to ./ then you can understand.

Hope you are sharing that love with another kitty.So many need someone to just support them a little.

If you hang out in the Lounge it is easy to get 1000+ posts. In GD you often have to post more insightful, longer posts. In the Lounge you can get away with a lot of one-liners with no-text in the body. Not that I'm encouraging you to up the post count by doing a lot of that but hey it is a way of getting sheer numbers.

But IMNSHO quality matters as much as quantity.
