I've lost the will to go on. Give me a reason why I shouldn't
have that second bowl of ice cream ;(

I am at present having a seriously strong drink.

1. No man is worth the calories
What are you drinking?

2. Mostly vodka, with a *splash* of cranberry juice
since I'm all out of grapefruit. I used to drink wine but it always gave me a hangover. And it is Tuesday after all.

At this point I'm not sure it's a man. Just a general sense of WTF. How are you doing?

3. Surviving
It's been raining forever and it's starting to get old. Want to run off to a Caribbean island with me?

4. That sounds wonderful. I'm playing the lottery tomorrow
and if I win, I'll take you and your family. We can get a babysitter for the kids (and your husband) & I'll use your lovely face as a decoy to lure in available men. Sound good?

Seriously, it's been raining here too. We had sun today, but it's been so wet that a patch of plaster on one of our inside walls has begun to mold and melt. Ewwwww.

6. Ewwww...mold
And if we're going, my kids and husband can stay here. By nine this morning I yelled at the older "Mister, how many times have I told you not to lick your brother?" :banghead:

7. Well, while we're on the subject, I received an email from
a singles' site. The username of the guy trying to contact me was "luv2lick" or something like it. Sort of a turnoff, yes?

Okay, it's a deal. I promise on my dear grandfather's grave (either grandfather - you pick) that if I win we will go to the island of your choice. Without the family, and I will still pay for babysitting.

My generosity is no doubt due in part to the effects of the vodka, but I will stand by my word!

And ewww on the licking guy, too.

11. Interestingly, he is very literate. Lovely sentence structure
and all that... and he assures me that the licking referred to ice cream. Alas he's an inch shorter than I am and a biker. And recent events has me seriously questioning my judgment in men!

Haven't heard from him since (it was yesterday)!

Lots of men, Ms. Pie. None of them MJC. But you know that old story.

14. Find that Will! And Jean-Luc too!
Well, if you're a fan of Star Trek the Next Generation of course... and why is it "The Next Generation" when it's they're 80 years ahead in time; which is 4 generations? :D

In seriousness, I wish I could help more than just make silly jokes.

It's come to my attention lately that many of the fine men at DU are from Texas. This means I cannot write of that state entirely.

a few decent folk as well. As for leaving the country... where would you go? I mean, if you could go anywhere and money/work was no object?

But seriously, I've taken to thinking that we owe it to everyone else to keep going on. At least sing yourself "There Will Never Be Another You."

28. heh well if you're trying to lose some fat
take my approach to cravings, when I was overweight there were a couple small things that drove me absolutely up the fucking wall.

1. I hated how when driving the seat angled just right so the fat would curl up into rolls and then it would get sweaty inbetween them causing me to constantly readjust trying to stop it from happening.

2. I remeber once when I was dancing (at this point I was quite thin but still had some small love handles) and was dancing with some girl at this party, we started kinda getting close having a good time but she sensed those last love handles and it definently turned her off which made me feel kinda weird and awkuard.

3. Manboobs, argh! just having small ones can be devastating, if somone mentions them your confidence just fucking crumbles for an hour or so!

remebering stuff like that kept and still allows me to keep urges like that down. Call me petty and superficial but it's just easier to be easy going and confident when I'm lean, athletic, and defined.

If weight isn't a problem go for that second bowl! One bowl is for victory but two is for glory and greatness!

32. Manboobs!
Being female, I'll take any boobs. But I know what you mean about rolls, and love handles. I'm fairly thing but even a bit of extra weight makes me feel like a gigantic beast. Thanks for your informative post. It made me laugh (I do hope that's what you intended!)

33. I've seen some shirtless weighty guys out jogging....
I applaud their wish to exercise, but bite my tongue to keep from yelling "get a Jogbra!"

Yes, it gets hot & humid here in Houston.

Then, there are the guys with hairy backs...

35. Hey Boo, is the invite still open?
Seriously, being from the south (as in S. Carolina, but living in CA currently) I learned to hate warm. So the island is out for me, though I do appreciate the invite. But I was wondering, can I house sit while you and Ms. Pie go to the Caribbean? I love Maine! I've never been there in winter, but hey, I'm game.

What part of the state are you in? I prefer the mountains, personally. So if you live on the coast, maybe you could rent me a place to house sit while you're gone to the Caribbean.

Is it a deal? :)
