Hi everybody. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and good wishes this week. I was at the vet's from Friday until Monday, when Mommy picked me up. I'm still very tired and weak, and don't feel much like eating. Mommy still has to give me medicine that I hate, and she puts fluid under my skin to keep me hydrated. I spend most of my time in my crate, hiding from Oreo and staying safe in a confined space.

It's so good to be home!

12. In all honesty, I was ready to let her go on Friday.
But the vet was very encouraging, and said she thought Binky would have a good chance for recovery, provided she survived the anesthesia. When she told me she made it out of surgery, I was in tears. And then she told me that she wanted to make sure she was OK, and took her home with her that night!

Now, it feels like "home." :loveya:

My old cat was ill, couldn't catch him. Finally he got well on his own.

I checked him over and he had lost all his top teeth, but he good to go now.

He looks a lot like Binky.

Binky got so bad, she stopped eating and drinking. Her mouth was so painful, she couldn't drink much at all.

You have a Holstein Cat, too? Aren't they gorgeous?

I'm so glad everything turned out alright. I came in too late to the previous thread to post good vibes for her procedure, but I was thinking of her off and on through the weekend and I was pulling for her strong recovery. And really pulling for a bit of good news for you as well, Lord knows you surely deserve it.

35. It's an IV drip with a needle.
I warm up the fluids in some hot water, so it's more comfortable for her. Then attach a fresh needle, pinch some skin, and slip it in the folds of her skin on her neck/back. Today, I got most of it on me, rather than in her. :)

She's still mad at me, because I put that nasty stuff down her throat. I guess she thought if she came home, things would get back to normal. Little does she know that she's going back next Monday for a check-up and more bloodwork.

I miss snuggling with her. :(

She's now getting "tough love." She slept alone in her crate (her choice, not mine), is getting water right next to her (but that's gonna change. She's gonna have to walk for it by the end of the day), and must learn to eat the delicious cat food I've purchased for her.
