I hate "Kling-ons"- Driving rant!

I did a 10 hour road trip over the weekend. I hate the "Kling-ons" when driving. I drive 10mph over the limit on average. A "Kling-on" is somebody you pass who then decides to be your "buddy". They speed up to pass you then settle back to the speed they were going. You then pass them and they decide to speed up again and pass. I had one guy who did this for 50 miles.
I use my cruise control so I know my speed is pegged, these idiots can't seem to decide how fast they want to drive. It get tedious having to pass then having to allow them to pass over and over.

3. Oh. I though Kling-Ons were the little lizards that I see clinging on to

my windshield or other parts of my car AFTER I'm on the road.

If I see them before I get on the road, I shoo them off.

I got to tell you, though, those little brown and green anoles can really hold on. I try to keep the going easy for them, even but when the speed limit is 45 mph, they manage to hang on till I get to my destination. I've only lost one out of about thirty or so over the years.

They can't regulate their speed without a rolling point of reference. When I have had enough I blast a bit and get way ahead. See how long it takes them to catch up.

There is another road Klingon, and that's the ones that play a similar game but settle in next to you in your blind spot. Like the other type, these folks can't seem to control their own speed without a rolling frame of reference. I deal with these fools by drifting over or just shaking the car a bit. Gets them to either commit to leading or following.

i never get tired of that one.

I hate the drivers that fly up on your rear and tailgate you hard to try to make you seep up when you are already going 10 mph over the limit.

6. I call that "leapfrogging." It drives me nuts.

If I notice some idiot doing that, I take the next exit and then get back on the road a couple of minutes later. They're ahead of me (most of the time) and less likely to try the same shit again. It works about 98% of the time. The other 2% are people who would drive slowy normally. :eyes:
