Why are folks obsessed with myspace? I am not in a band. I dont want
to collect "friends". I dont want advice about music. I dont want my identity shared with thousands of strangers. Sure if a site uses myspace as its homepage I'll go there but that's it. I don't see the upside of myspace. Can someone tell me what I don' get that 30 million americans get?

2. I don't get it either.
People from school keep telling me to get one.

3. Some questions for you: How old are you? Do you have many friends?
Introvert or extrovert?

6. I have a theory. UNLESS you need publicity, as musicians do
AND, you are over 27 AND you don't have many friends, I don't think you'll be into it. I've wondered the same thing. I'm 43...I don't need to ADD any unknowns to my life. It took me years to rid myself of the riff-raff of being young and accepting and wanting others to like me. I don't care what most people think...and I don't care what they think of me.

I spend my spare time learning and developing my relationships with the many friends I already have. And I don't have the kind of time it takes to hang out on myspace. I have a relationship, own a home and have a garden, etc.

I think myspace works very well for some people, I'm not knocking it..I just think a lot of folks age out of it.

7. If you're turned on by cops acting like 14 year old girls for an episode
of "Dateline," you need to get on that site pronto.

Or, at least check out my band:

Yeah, that's right, I went there!!!

8. There are old friends of mine from high school and college,
with whom I've lost touch over the years. I found many of them there.

And also to plug my noisy drivel:

9. That's nice. It has its advantages for many. And I'm not as closed
minded as my previous post may make me sound. It's just that it doesn't work for me. I tried it and it took time I didn't have and I ended up feeling really exposed and that seemed like a pandora's box I didn't need to open. It wasn't for me. Otherwise, I think it's great because I can see how it can be a really positive thng for many people.
