Today I am enjoying the fallout at my former employer . . .
I quit my job last month, and today I have received confirmation that not only was it the right thing to do, but that my former boss is seriously regretting losing me.

A friend who works for one of the boss's jr associates asked that associate if he thinks she regrets driving me out, and he said that she does - in so many words.

Cue "We Like to Party" :woohoo:

Karma's a bitch, ain't it, boss?

I'm usually not one to gloat. In fact, I feel kinda guilty about it. But oh well. It is not my problem anymore.

:woohoo:

1. i love quitting jobs.
wish I could do it more often. Had a good run of walking off of two jobs in two weeks, that was good fun - wish I could bottle that feeling. Anyway, congrats on making what sounds to be the right move, sounds like youre happy. good stuff.

2. Same here re: my previous job.
I had my share of mistakes, but I inherantly knew MUCH more.

And given the verbal abuse I got, especially on that last day, so much the better. :(

8. This is one bit of schadenfreude I really savor
The newspaper from which I and six others were fired three years ago is in the tank. Circulation is down some 20 percent and the writing and story selection is embarrassing to read.

Ha-ha on them.

10. I had a boss that more than regretted I quit
Two weeks after I resigned, he was canned at the request of the contracting client. I was just glad to get out of there and I had a far better job. My only thought was why did they wait until I quit to get rid of my idiot boss. It's amazing how many bad people managers there are - bad because of the negative effect they have on their subordinate's lives.

:-(

13. Don't feel guilty.
Feel good. It's validation that you were more valuable than the boss thought.
Happy 'Tween Jobs!

15. I got canned from a job once
because my new managers just couldn't understand what it was that I did and underestimated the amount of work I was doing, despite my attempts to explain it to them.

They found out quick once I was gone!

16. I'm in kind of a similar situation...
but I have to wait until school starts to hear how my replacement is adjusting. I can't wait to hear that she is ruing the day she wanted my position. I know it will happen, it's just a matter of time....
