Cool but yet sad site I was hooked up with tonight!
If you know someone who has died of AIDS and has a panel in the Quilt, here is a site that will search the quilt for the block!

http://www.aidsquilt.org/searchquilt.htm

This block includes my cousin who passed away.

5. Thanks for this. I found two friends.
Vincent Chalk:

Here's Vince's story :
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?sec=health&res=9B0DE1D91131F93AA25752C1A961948260

He fought the good fight for all public employees with aids

Ralph Earl "Nick" Cornwell:

The pic on the quilt is of a machine Nick built that played dozens of instruments at once. It sounded like a giant rhythmic marimba. He made some really cute music too. I knew him several years but we had lost touch. Then one day in April '87 I was in a bookstore/coffee shop and had pulled a copy of Shaw's "Man and Superman" from the shelf. Tucked in the book was an order form filled out by Nick exactly one year prior to the date I was standing in the store. I bought the book, kept the order form and called the number on the order form. We got together and visited for a good long time. One month later, he died.
