The Bobcats draft Moran Guy's little brother
Everyone here knows this fine, upstanding gentleman, a pillar of his community and a role model to all:

Introducing his little brother...

Meet Adam Morrison, last year's leading scorer in college basketball (avg 28.1 points per game).

Now here's the funny part. This guy was born in Spokane, Washington. Lived all his life in Spokane. Went to college in Spokane and pretty much put Spokane on the list of Serious College Basketball Towns all by himself the last four years. He's moving to Charlotte, NC--one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the United States. They asked Mr. Morrison what he liked best about Charlotte: "There's no traffic."

I would really love to know what this moran considers traffic, because trust me on this: compared to Spokane, Charlotte has traffic.

1. C'mon, Morrison seems like a good guy.
If nothing else, the kid plays with a ton of heart, which is quite refreshing these days.

3. He also plays with Type 1 diabetes
If I was running the American Diabetes Association, my ass would be in Spokane right now signing this guy up to be a spokesman. You know what a great role model this guy's gonna be to children with diabetes everywhere? This guy took care of himself, did all the things his doctor told him to do, worked hard and he went number three in the NBA draft. Big time, man.

The NBA is probably rubbing their hands together right now. He can't drink. He can't do drugs. They finally found someone who won't embarrass the entire league with his little booze-fueled antics.

Okay, he LOOKS like he was raised by a pack of wolves and he doesn't know what traffic looks like, but he seems to be a very nice guy.

5. Honestly, the way he looks is probably a good thing.
It tells me he's less concerned with stylin' than he is with winning.

2. I thought Morrison did a great job in the NCAA tournament...
he played his ass off, and he made some beautiful shots from the field. Of course, it wasn't enough, but hey, it was the Gators' year!

GO GATORS!!!!

6. What Sports Illustrated says about him
"Shoots great, won't defend, can't rebound...he's a perfect fit for the NBA."

What's going to be fun is the first Charlotte-Orlando game of the 2006-07 NBA season. Orlando got J.J. Redick.
