29. I have a deskful of stuff, but can't (won't) get to it tonight.

Packing for a trip is what's upstairs.

Hell with it -- I'll do it tomorrow -- or next week.

Glad I make my own schedule now that I'm retired. We're old and we're playing! It won't last forever, but, gee whiz, Charlie, it's fun while it lasts!

Cause I'm writing it at home on the same computer that brings DU into my apartment. DU=instant response, instant gratification. Novel=possibility of one day publishing it. So I remain a bookkeeper!

18. Supposed to be packing to move

Though I've done pretty well through the week, getting much done. The movers come Saturday, and I've taken tomorrow off. Just clothing and kitchen stuff. Better than in the past, when I did most packing and tossing musty old crap (saved in case I find some use for it in the future) at the last minute. I think I've nested down a bit, feeling a reluctance to shift. A far cry from the years when I lived out of backpacks and bicycle panniers.

But it will be nice to get away from this apartment block.
