Just watched "Two Cathedrals" |
|
My co-workers and I have been watching The West Wing on DVD at lunch time. Today we finished season 2. I'm thinking "Two Cathedrals" is probably the best example of what television should be.
I wish I got this feeling from Studio 60..... Am I missing something, or have they just not found greatness yet?

1. Two Cathedrals is by FAR the greatest episode of WW |
|
an episode like that comes around once every decade. I hope Studio 60 will have an episode like that but judging by the subject matter of the show, I don't think it can happen...but I will give it time. I think I was expecting it to pick up where the West Wing left off so my expectations were a little bit too high but it is still an enjoyable show IMHO. Monday nights I have Heroes then Studio 60 which makes a nice little TV viewing block for me

2. sounds like I'm only a few episodes ahead of you |
|
I missed West Wing when it first aired and decided to not start watching it in the middle. Now my husband and I are watching them all from Netflix. I'm into Season Three and I love it! Now I understand the hype.
I haven't watched Studio 60, though.

3. Two Cathedrals = the finest hour of broadcast drama ever produced |
|
studio 60 seems more about Sorkin/Schlamme grinding some insider axes.
