2. Several people posted "wanted: snowblower" today.
There's a foot of snow outside -- if anyone has a working snowblower they're either using it or selling it.

Even outside of holidays, my freecycle group is about half "gimme gimme gimme".

And mostly of the "My unmarried sister just moved out of the house she's been sharing with her fifth boyfriend, and father of her seventh child, and she needs an XBOX 360, a fridge, a washer and dryer (newer models only, please), a car, and a whole new wardrobe because she's going to look for work on Monday" bullshit.
