Damn christmas tree. Every damn year and the not standing up straight with the crappy tree stand and stuff. And I'm supposed to 'rig' something up to keep it from toppling over. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

1. Imagine the trouble MacGyver would have getting on a plane these days
He'd have to get on naked - and even then they'd have to watch him like a hawk.

3. At the end of the season, just go buy a nice artificial tree.
Then you won't have to worry about it anymore. Real trees are overrated.

6. No, she got it at a garage sale
and was using the old tree stand to try to make it work.

I'll put on some coffee and wait for your arrival.

20. I agree.
Sadly, my wife does not. So now I have to "find a way" to make a real tree fit into either my Hyundai Elantra, or her Ford Focus.

7. i don't know about you -- but if you're a guy and you're not at work --
then no woman in my family will let have any time you can legitimately call your own.

if you go outside to work on something -- soon someone female will appear with a better idea.

if you wanna watch tv -- football or whatever -- soon a female will appear with a better idea.

if you wanna go to the store -- a female will come with you.

and the women train the smallest females to treat their male siblings in exactly the same fashion.

now, you might think that because i'm gay that i have escaped this -- you would be wrong.
when i come any where near my family -- a woman is quickly placed in charge of me.
she could be 9 or 90 -- but my free time will quickly be absorbed and changed.

we all know it -- we all acknowledge it -- it's not even a secret any more.

8. As someone with a wife, and two daughters
I hear you. :(

I'm fighting it, but it's costing me my hair, my liver ('cause I'm drinking more), my over-all health, etc. ;)

13. geeez
put it in a bucket with a bunch of rocks. Put two small nails in the wall and tie some heavy thread to them to hold the tree. Or use baling wire, and tie it to a curtain rod. That is what I do. Hey she bought the thing incomplete, you are just doing the best you can.

PS teach your daughters to fix things themselves - its a good thing. Same as teaching sons to mend and do laundry.

17. OK, you'll need a framing square and a 4 foot level.
Also an electric drill (cordless works best), a pruning saw, pruning shears, 3 or 4 eye bolts, and some steel guy wires.
Oh, if you have a LASER level you won't need the framing square (obviously).
Let me know if you need a hand.
;-)

As long as you have PLENTY of chewing gum.
