We're finally getting heat tomorrow!

At first they said they couldn't do the work until next Monday; but they worked things out so they could be here tomorrow morning.
YAY!!!

3. I thought it was about guns, or
someone being raked over the coals about something or other.
;-)

4. ooh, hope it's not as cold where you are as it is here!

5. It's 33 right now...
It's supposed to go down to 25 tonight. Every light in the house is on, the bathroom door is shut (just have to deal with cold tushees for a couple of seconds), and the oven has a home made pizza in it.

I'm kind of bummed, because the new boilers are all dependent on electricity; so if we have a mid-winter power failure, we won't have heat. :-(
Keep your old one as long as you can! :scared:

7. we used a few of those oil-based radiators
when the furnace was on the blink last year. That ain't cheap, though. It's fun to bundle up as long as you know it will be short term.

I had some folks in to pitch me a new furnace but the new ones almost didn't sound like furnaces, since they were so quiet, etc. I guess I like my furnace to be loud and crotchety!

11. It's 28 outside right now...
It's getting cooler inside, too. We've been able to keep things fairly warm with the oven, keeping the lights on, running loads of laundry through the dryer. It's getting cooler now, though. I'm about to grab a cat to tuck under the covers with me. It'll probably be in the mid 50s inside when we get up in the morning. Thank heavens for flannel sheets!

Thanks for the warming hug!

16. LOL...I'd forgotten I'd listed that as my state...
I'm in MD, just outside of DC. The guys have been working since 10am. And I'm SO glad, because it is only about 40 degrees outside!Fortunately, I had to take my kid to his piano lesson while they were doing the noisiest part of the job. :D

13. Yay!
My family (mom, dad, and brother) was without power this weekend, because of the snow. Glad to hear you'll be more comfortable soon. :)

18. I hope your family's doing better now!
I heard on the news last night that there was a family in Oregon that was missing in the snowstorm. They found the mother and two kids in their car; but as of last night there was no sign of the father. :(
I hope they find him soon, and that he'll be ok. Such an awful thing to happen...
