Got in from New Orleans last night...
We saw Sonny Landreth over at Rock and Bowl and got quite a surprise. After the first song, Sonny said he had a surprise for everyone. Jimmy Buffett walked on stage and sang and played rhythm guitar during "U.S.S. Zydecoldsmobile" and "Jambalaya". (We were standing on the front row which made it even more of a treat.)

Jimmy Buffett was in town to sing the anthem at the Saints game on Sunday.

My husband took a few photos with his phone (kinda blurry--shutter speed too slow) so if I can figure out how to post them, I will.

God, I love live music in NO!

1. I would love to be there since it is so cold here
and the music and food would be better, too! Hmmm. I know there are lots of deals around, since they really want people to visit.

Sonny Landreth, nice.

2. I wish you could have been there if you're a SL fan; it was a great show.
The weather held out for us, as well (bright & sunny and not too windy).

The Papa Noel rates are good this year and they definitely need as many visitors as possible. I encourage people to head to NOLA. The holiday season is gearing up with the French Market Christmas tree having been lit on Saturday and costumed characters strolling the quarter. The St. Charles streetcars that are now on the Canal and Riverfront lines are decorated with garlands and wreaths like usual and the merchants on Magazine St. are offering extended shopping hours.

I'll be visiting again in a couple of weeks.
