"Comedian" Andy Dick heckled at L.A. comedy club, decides to follow in Michael Richards' footsteps
Andy Dick -- The New "Kramer"?

Posted Dec 5th 2006 12:29PM by TMZ Staff

http://www.tmz.com/2006/12/05/andy-dick-the-new-kramer/

Andy Dick hasn't learned anything from the Michael Richards incident.

According to sources, the hopped-up comedian hopped onstage Saturday at L.A.'s Improv comedy club and dropped the n-bomb on a room full of stunned clubgoers.

Andy was heckling comedian Ian Bagg during his routine, when Dick allegedly got out of his seat, jumped onstage and began joking with Bagg. The subject of Michael Richards came up, but the two comics quickly moved past it. As Dick exited the stage, he suddenly grabbed the mic and shouted at the crowd, "You're all a bunch of n*****s!"

The stunned crowd gasped and stared at each other. Bagg tried to play it cool and move on with his set, but the laughs weren't there.

3. Andy Dick is SO not funny!
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 03:21 PM by Neo
after NewsRadio he slid into obscurity. He can't act or tell jokes. Just a washed out drug addict trying to get by being an attention whore through shock value and offending people, or used in comedy roasts with th other has-beens.

12. Richards was saying what he said out of anger, Dick was parodying the situation
Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 09:07 PM by Pushed To The Left
It would be pretty silly if this became a Richards-like scandal.

13. Also, "Less than Perfect".
All right, it was "NewsRadio", but why pass up a chance to post a pic of his co-star, Sara Rue?

What's she doing, anyway?

23. I remember there was a big kerfluffle when he exposed himself on stage
in the middle of a "comedy" routine a few years ago.

It's like he's trying to be Andrew Dice Clay without realizing what a loser he was.

17. Well, yeah, but that wasn't unexpected.
I mean, comedy and violent death. I was surprised they stuck it out.

So sad.

20. Is that on The Comedy Network?
I think I recall promos for that show, but that's about it.

If I happen across another broadcast, do you figure it's worth watching?

Absolutely worth watching. One of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Full episodes are on YouTube if you feel like checking them out.

Here's a higlight reel of sorts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdCzi236mcU (Though there are way better scenes in my opinion.)

Or better yet, here's the first episode:

26. This is just opportunism
He sees a chance for some publicity for his dead career and doesn't care who he has to hurt to get it. If Richards committed a faux pas in the second degree (out of anger), Dick's is surely a first degree offense. Sickening.

I think Andy Kaufman would groan at the lack of cleverness.
