And thats what I am. I just picture myself making video games and not insurance software.

7. I wanted to be a veterinarian
Life got in the way. I ended up working with a friend for several years who had become a vet and while it was fulfilling, I was kind of glad that I hadn't continued on that path. Tough job, high stress.

19. I watched too much Magnum PI and Rockford Files...
and therefore I ended up becoming a Private Investigator after a few years of working for the man as a special contract investigator. I wish that I had watched more shows about professions that payed better than a PI. I have yet to meet a rich author who would let me live in Hawaii and drive a red Ferrari. I drive a Corolla amongst others, but it blends in more than a red Ferrari ever would.

Edited on Tue Dec-05-06 09:51 PM by WritingIsMyReligion
It was a rabid dream of mine, and I mean rabid.

And then I started to write, and since then I have never even considered a career in the maths or sciences. :D

23. Photographer (especially concert photographer)
Little did I know that this desire would eventually come true. Nor could I have known how little that one pays but it ended up being cooler then I would have imagined back then. I never made it into the "big time" but I did get to meet a lot of very talented local musicians during that decade!
