Which of course are different from drag races.......but still........

Yeah, I was taken to the figure 8 races as a kid. Wild stuff that was!

At the end of that film, it states that all of the B/W footage was shot in 2005. It's a message of encouragement to build yer hot rod, don't be discouraged by complaints that there are no parts or candidate bodies. I'm a rig it & run it guy, not a billet "ZZTop" rod guy. Rat rods are what people call hotrods that are quickly built, shot with Krylon spray paint primer and then driven hard.

The film is a message of hope. :P

And tey folks driving veedub 4 cylinder diesels on veg oil or tweaking them to 60 MPG are also hot rodders of a sort in my book. The thing about car guys is they have an obsession. I gotta work on a car. Can't not do it. Especially cars I haven't worked on before. I'm a slut that way! :evilgrin:

We have this thing here called the Dream Cruise. Heck I used to live at ground zero of the thing. So yeah... I have known for a very long time that hot rodding was not dead.
