List movies that depict the people and culture of a specific area and time in the U.S.,
I mean films that are not simply set there, but that really give you a sense of the character of a place and time, and the character of people who lived there at that time. For example:

"Sergeant York" (Tennessee hillbilly life in 1916)
"The Spitfire Grill" (Modern-day Maine)
"To Kill A Mockingbird" (1930s Georgia)
"Fargo" (1990s Minnesota)
"The Grapes of Wrath" (1930s Oklahoma & California)
