I had to post this in the Lounge - Mallard Fillmore cartoonist arrested for DUI!!!

Hoosier Edward Bruce Tinsley, creator of the conservative comic strip Mallard Fillmore, was arrested in Columbus Dec. 4 and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence -- his second alcohol-related arrest in less that four months, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.


Tinsley, 48, who lives in Columbus, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 -- almost twice the level at which an Indiana driver is considered intoxicated. He posted $755 bond

His admission that he smoked pot, but didn't inhale has allowed our culture to deteriorate to the point where even this can happen!

I'm tempted to laugh at his arrest, but the accumulated unfunniness of his strip has countered any possible laughing about him until 2012.

That comic strip is so very not funny. And it makes me just scowl to think about it. How does that shit get into synication when so many strips that are actually funny can't?

His strip is full of it and so is the cartoonist. I'm loving it that he's been busted - I hope his ass ends up in jail and becomes someone's bitch!

12. Well, a lot of "A Clockwork Orange" was written while drunk, too
Although coming up with words like "droogs" is more typical drunk activity than spouting reactionary platitudes.
