Bring your kids to work and let them run wild? Bill Handel thinks so

I guess there's been a running problem at a radio station in L.A. where Bill Handel brings his little darlings to work and they get the run of the building.

Jamie White of Star 98 has run off the kids before and asked building Mgmt to ask Handel to keep the kids out of studios other than the one their father works at. This morning she ran the kids off again and Handel didn't like it.

I'm on her side. Kids should not be brought to work unless there is an emergency type situation. If that happens, keep the kids entertained and out of other's hair.


I never liked this guy and am not surprised at his reaction.

I don't know what's happened since then, but when I was a little kid (late 70s), all the adults seemed to present a unified front, and if you got yelled at by someone else other than your parents, your parents would get even madder at you for inconveniencing that adult and making them have to yell at you!

any adult told a kid to knock it off we knocked it off.

His reaction does explain why his kids act the way they do though - no boundaries obviously.

..he almost knocked a waitress over and was driving everyone nuts. When she almost fell I snapped at him and told him to sit down before he hurt someone. He did LOL.. His mom was pissed at me and shot me dirty looks until they left - but too bad. She needed to keep her kid safe too and she wasn't doing it - he easily could have been hurt if a tray of hot food had fallen on top of him. Dumb lady.

You don't dare say anything nowadays. And you know what is funny? I kinda feel gypped...hey we couldn't wait till WE could grow up and tell kids what to do and look what went and happened...Geez...:P

Yep.. we have earned our turn to be in charge!!!


I do say things sometimes though. I just can't stand it. The funny thing is the kid usually will stop too. It just takes someone calling them on their behavior. Their parents aren't going them any favors by not teaching them boundaries. Kind of sad really.

they will stop. And I think the first thing that made me feel "old" was when I just LOOKED at a child askance who was acting up. Suddenly he put his head down and stopped his shenanigans. OMG, the mixed emotions I had! Aaaarrggghhh..I have become the enemy! But no, I kind of liked it. And I do give kids a lot of latitude, I was not the best child by any means and will not forget that. The child I was ( and still am) is alive and well and ornery inside me.B-)
