My kid wants a guinea pig
I think I can safely assume that the cat would try to eat it if we got one. Am I right? If so, this gives me a good excuse not to invite a rodent into my house.

And three cats. And two dogs.. They all get along fine. I really like them, cute little buggers.

3. Are guinea pigs hard to care for?
And, is it better to get a pair?

I'm not saying that I'm giving in. Just curious.

4. They're very low maintenance
But you have to keep the cage clean or it gets a little smelly. Just don't use cedar chips, as the fumes from the cedar are very bad for their respiratory systems.

I think it's better to have two, so they don't get lonely. :-) They're really very sweet.

5. Very low maintenance..
We have two because my roommate has twin girls. One would be fine. They actually don't get along very well with each other.

6. Be sure to check into their vitamin C requirements
They die if you don't provide it.

My daughter would add a piece of a C tablet to the water.
