Sounds like they are taking a page out of the Mariners management book. They've pulled some real boners too. :grr:

8. Right on!
They aired the Lakers at Timberwolves here on TV...so sad the Lakers won, when the Wolves were up for most of the game.

12. I just moved back to Minnesota
I can see some games here, but alas, I am too far from the cities to go to many of them. I wouldn't trade living in Duluth for anything though.

I lived in the Twin Cities area from 1968 until August of this year. I miss it.

Edited on Thu Dec-21-06 02:27 AM by anti-everything
the twin cities. I lived in Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA for longer than I wanted to. I moved to Duluth four months ago. I have always loved this city and I am very happy to finally be living here. It's the best place I've ever been or lived.

One of the many things I love about living in Duluth is that I'm a 5 minute drive from Lake Superior. I think the lake is probably the most beautiful thing in existence. I spend much of my spare time at Brighton Beach, Canal Park, or Park Point just looking at the lake. I also like to go to Two Harbors when I have a day to burn.

(edit: spelling is important)

26. It took a long time
for me to get back to Minnesota, and I can't believe I made it to Duluth, what good fortune. I always thought I would end up back in Minneapolis or the suburbs, but I always knew I would make it back to Minnesota. It just worked out really well for me. I would be happy anywhere in this great state though. You can take the boy out of Minnesota, but you can't take Minnesota out of the boy. Why did you leave, if you don't mind me asking?

at least you didn't get sent to the southeast. I spent years trying to get out of the south. Hopefully you'll make it back up here someday. It sounds like you really miss it here.

32. I have to go back to Atlanta every
so often to see my family. I'm torn between my desire to see my family and my urge to never set foot in Georgia again. Unfortunately, my parents and sister have set up shop in GA and don't want to leave. They will come up here in the summer, but they have problems with below zero temps (I don't understand how they can like 99 degrees with 100% humidity.). They don't understand that I have problems with above 70 temps and love below zero, so I guess I will be visiting them in the winter, and they will be visiting me in the summer.

33. Personally 65 is the perfect temperature for me!
My arthritis does not like the subzero, or the rapidly changing temperatures.

34. 65 is about perfect for me too,
70 or above is too hot. There isn't such thing as too cold for me though. But I can definitely understand health conditions aggrivated by the weather. Maybe moving out west worked out for the best for you. At least you have an excuse to come back to MN sometimes, though, with family and all. I bet you'll even vacation to Lake Superior from time to time, too. The lake has a funny effect on people. Anyway, as I work in 6 hours, I need to get to bed. I enjoyed talking with you, and I'm sure I will again. Goodnight.

30. Woohoo!
Two months and counting.

:woohoo:

You know it's time for spring training when your manager is caught on film dressed like this:

St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa, playing Grim Reaper Rabbit, looks down on a begging Paris Wages playing Arabesqua, while Elaine LaRussa, playing Mother Ginger Rabbit, views her daughter Devon LaRussa lying on stage and playing Formerly White Rabbit during a dress rehearsal of the dance “The MAD Hatter Performance and Tea Party” on Dec. 1, 2006, in San Francisco.
