Getting my car back -- the Not-So-Excellent Adventure continues.
From yesterday:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x5970042

I got a call from the car lot this morning, and rescheduled picking it up for 2:00 this afternoon. :bounce:

They also apologized to me for not calling me when their power went out yesterday, because they DID have my phone number and should have called me.

Shortly after they called me, MrSG called and said HIS car was messing up. :banghead: One of his co-workers is going to look at it at noon today. Thinks it has something to do with the oil. May need an oil change or God forbid, something worse. x(

We move on to Plan #13: the bus. I check the King County Metro Bus schedule, and it will take over TWO AND A HALF HOURS to go 17 miles by bus. :grr:

Start thinking again. Hey! A cab! More expensive than the bus, but I won't be noticeably aging while trying to get there. So, I talk to MrSG again, and though he cannot get here, he could call the cab company and give them his credit card #. I call the cab company, and yes, they take VISA and Mastercard. :bounce:

However......

not over the phone. :nuke:

Scratch Plan #165.......:yoiks:

I call the lot back, and reschedule YET AGAIN for tomorrow morning (they are only open until noon).

So, with a little bit of luck, MrSG's car will be running all right, the road won't be blocked, the power at the lot will be back on, and I'll finally, FINALLY get the dang car back!

This has now moved on to the Theater of the Absurd.

2. I've moved on from wanting to cry to laughing hysterically.
And really, given the problems so many people are having this year with finances and other things, my little problem is exactly that -- little!

But hey, this is the Lounge -- what better place for the Theater of the Absurd, eh?

:loveya:  :loveya:

3. Crap. I would've given you a ride.
I have the car today and had the whole morning off.

Sorry to hear about your travails.
