Rescheduled Delivery:12/26/2006
Can someone tell me what the FUCK the point of a three-day guarantee is if you can't back it up?

I shipped something Tuesday, they had three days to get it somewhere else, and failed.

Do I get my money back? Can I get the hundred dollars insurance? I'd rather have it there for Christmas, but obviously that's too goddamn difficult for 'the brown'

I can't remember - it's been a year since I've shipped UPS (used to own a store), but do they guarantee 3-day service the week of Christmas? They didn't use to when they started it, I know (they had some cop out about it and always tried to get you to upgrade to 2nd day or next-day, IIRC). They'll probably put the blame on weather conditions somewhere. I'm sorry - that really sucks. :(

On edit - I see, if they guaranteed it, then yes, by all means ask for your $ back. Loudly. I misread it the first time through.

4. That's the thing though
It's not about my money back, that's not even important. I wanted something to get somewhere in time for Christmas, and it didn't.

I handed the box and the slip over to Sam, the UPS Store manager, and he does his calculations and says "Guaranteed Friday", I said "Good".

It's not there, it being there on time is worth more to me than the cost of the shipment. I should have insured it for 10,000 bucks.

Dammit!

6. Could the bad weather in Denver have delayed the shipment?
If they can claim that bad weather delayed flights the shipper may have an out. Does bad weather, aka 'acts of God' negate the guarantee?

8. UPDATE:
It's been delivered! Apparently the brown was running overtime this weekend, and my package made a special trip on a Saturday :hurts:
