On Edit: I just realized your books are alphabetized by author- you must have bookshelves up to wazoo!

I have 110 bookshelves, with about 30 in my apartment. The rest in the garage.

Will be moving all the books to my house in the next few weeks.

I have 25,000 more books to unpack and alphabatize. Wanna help?

You could start your own personal library!

I used to try and keep a the books I had read- I normally sort them by type-
but I started running out of room so I started giving things I didn't want to keep
to the libraries in my area, or friends. In some cases I sold on ebay as well.

I LOVE books. The feel, the smell- the whole thing.

alphabetizing is needed now because it was taking too long to find the books i was selling :D

True story
In high school the photography teacher after seeing my work told me that photography may not be for me.:shrug:
That did wonders for the ol ego

but quantity. When I cover events I take hundreds of shots. Then when I get home I usually throw out 75% of them and keep just those few good ones for my websites. That is the beauty of today's digital photography. Quick and inexpensive, other than the initial investment of a good digital camera.

today haunts me. I think they haunt us all.

I started out last December burying my own son, Randy. He was not a casualty of war. Since then I have attended the funerals of 27 other young men and women as a Florida Patriot Guard. I find it incredible trying to comprehend the agony and pain of all those families this past year. I know that loosing my son, the second I have buried, was indescribeable. When I think of those numbers multiplied I know that it is more than any one person can handle. All I can say is goddam this administration. It is time this was ended.

I spent seven Christmases overseas during my time in the service. I know what a lonely experience it is. Pray for our young people serving today during this holiday season. They did not make this war, but they answered when the drums sounded. I and many from my generation know what it was like to serve honorably in a dishonorable war. Lets bring them home as soon as we can.

My condolences to you with regards to your son. I can only guess the pain.

Have you encountered the Phelps gang? I truly don't know if I could control myself if I had a chance encounter with them.

My opinion of the Patriot Guard Riders did a couple of reversals, yet I'm happy to say I support them 100%. When I first heard of what the Patriot Guard were doing, I supported their mission. Then I read a disturbing newspaper article that made me question their motives until I found the Guard were unknowingly used for political purposes to slam Cindy Sheehan.

I read in a local newspaper, the Guard were attending the funeral of a fallen Air Force woman because they heard that Cindy Sheehan was going to protest. It was a bogus writeup from the get-go because I knew Cindy was in Washington, D.C. the day of the funeral, the fact that Cindy would never protest a funeral, and the Patriot Guard does not attend a service without an invitation. I became livid!

I started making calls and found the source of the lie originated from a Vacaville Reporter columnist, Catherine Moy. Catherine Moy was a mover and shaker in the Astroturf® Move America Forward "You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy!" movement, and later co-wrote the crappy book with Melanie Morgan, American Mourning, published by World Net Daily.

I am a Patriot Guard Rider from Kansas. I have ridden on 22 Patriot Guard Mission Rides, 15 of them as a Ride Captain. I have been face-to-face with the Phreaks a dozen times, as close as "touching distance" on one occasion. The last time I saw any of Phred's misbegotten brood was 3 days ago, at the memorial service for SSG Henry Linck of Marysville, KS.

The Phreaks are sad, small, pathetic people. Their message never changes; it never becomes more sophisticated or more believable. After my initial emotional response to their presence, it became easy to ignore them and their juvenile signs and chants.

It is not about politics. It is only about the fallen and respect. I hadn't heard the Cindy Sheehan story, but it does not surprise me that someone would try to inject a false story there. I know that over at the Freeper site they think we are all rabid right wingers. Not true. There are many democratic veterans who've shed their blood for this country and though we don't agree with this war, we support our troops. Without yellow ribbons and other nonsense.

About the Phelps, yes I've faced these neanderthals several times. And like Pagan Preacher said they are a digusting bunch of people. It is not easy to see them and their antics at these funerals, but I don't worry about the Patriot Guard crossing the line. We've learned how to handle them. We turn our back and shield the family from their view. My last encounter with the dirtbags was Friday before last. Here they are.



There is a special place in hell for these hypocrites.

I know things have gotten pretty busy down here the past couple months. I just wish it would slack off. We really need to end this bloodbath in the ME.
