I've Been a Working Stiff For 30 Years Now!!!
30 years ago yesterday (July 31, 1973), I started my first full-time job after graduating from DeVry Tech, at Boonton Electronics in Parsippany, NJ. And 26 years ago today (August 1, 1977), I started working for Vydec, a company that later became Exxon Office Systems before it went belly-up.

Anyone else celebrating an anniversary today?

1. Yep!!
August 3, 1992 (first work day of that month) I started working for the state of Texas. So, officially, yesterday was my 11th anniversary! Whee!

Not my Anniversary but

What was left of the crew of the USS Indianapolis was rescued in the Shark Infested Waters of the Pacific Ocean halfway between Guam and the Phillipines. The ship had delivered the components of the bomb we dropped on Hiroshima. Two thirds of the crew were lost.
