2. It's about 3 hours away, straight shot down 290.
Some kickass bars here in Houston...

And A HUGE homebrew club, if that sort of thing interests you...

3. You guys talking August? Seriously, I thought you LIKED Will?
August is the worst month to be in Houston. Natives, and naturalized Texans, try to leave then. It's hot. And humid. We're talking highs of 95, 96, 97, and lows that might dip below 80, maybe 76.

September 25 to mid-November is real nice. Lots of the cool outdoor stuff like festivals is planned for then. Actually, winter is pretty good too, especially compared to the real cold that some places get.

So, go north in August, Will. That's what we do.

4. I am North
Waaaaaaaaaaaay north. Don't worry, yo. I'm not getting near Texas until September. I just got back from Arizona, 115 degrees in the shade.

I just remembered that a good friend of my mom lives in Austin, and is (I think) wired into the activist community there. Gonna try to make that connection.

8. Dallas, too.
You're right, don't be like the Boy King and come here in August. It's too damn hot.

Come in September or October. I'll buy ya some Tex Mex and drown it with a pitcher of frozen margaritas.
