1. Home Alone Again - with Michael Jackson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8Oj48lCwoc

Back to the point; new wave - the final genre of music that allowed differences in music despite a common sound. Later genres seem to sound identical. Even singers, if we look at American Idol and celebr like Brit/Paris/Jessica, look and sound alike. Whittled down and washed to identical mass manufactured commodities. Then they whine nothing's profitable...

5. Shine on America!
"Come in, Booji Boy, you're late! Do you have the papers the Chinaman gave you?"

General Boy is a stern but loving dad to Booji Boy.

10. I wish I was old enough to have known that was going on.
Between Devo and Pere Ubu, revolutions were happening 30 minutes from my house, but I missed out because I was only 5.

13. This is from Lollapalooza, opening for Metallica. It's on DVD, and is a MUST HAVE.
I believe a few tracks have a multi-angle option, which is why this clip is all Mark Mothersbaugh. It's an absolutely brilliant performance, and if I was in Metallica, I wouldn't have wanted to follow their set, because they KICKED METALLICA'S ASS.

It's worth the purchase just to see Mark Mothersbaugh running through the crowd, getting drunken Metallica fans to scream "WE ARE DEVO" into his microphone.
