I've worshipped this song ever since it was released. As a six-year-old, it was the soundtrack to most of the fun moments in my life (that and 10cc's "I'm not in Love".

When I was little I used to think of it as the "whispery song." :D

Distinctly remember having a conference with my student teaching advisor, a 60ish woman, and commenting that the following day I was headed to see Elton John in concert at Dodger Stadium. She was appalled and told me I was "a little old for rock and roll." I was 22. LOL
