2. Is it one of those grocery stores with the customer cards?
They always jack up the sticker price and then trick you into thinking you're saving a lot of money when you use their cards.

14. This is a totally normal price around here.
$4.99 is not at all unusual for 12-packs of pop in my area.

I buy them when they go on sale 3 for $10, and occasionally Albertsons will run an additional special with that one (buy 3, get one free) that will knock the price down to $2.50. That's a good time to stock up, because otherwise you'll pay a lot more.
