those ugly flaming threads in the past week or so in GD (and some in LBN) on Kobe & Rape; Gay Marriage (and the Episcopal Priest), etc.

Maybe it's just me but at old DU it was more difficult to open and read large threads. That might be why long threads aren't getting locked as often as they use to and are allowed to get very long.
