My wife loves the band, the Police. They are playing in Los Angeles
this weekend. We didn't get tickets, but a friend called me and asked me to go with him. He got his tickets from a "broker" and they are killer seats.

My wife asked me, "You wouldn't go without me, would you?"

I told her, "You bet your ass I would!"

Was that not the right thing to say?

We already have plans to go to San Diego so I'm not going...but I don't think I answered her question correctly.

3. Actually you were slightly wrong.
You should have said, "You bet your SWEET ass I would!" At least she would get the message that you think she has a sweet ass. Compliments get you everywhere.
