And I am hacking a bit of Ruby code to screen scrape a website.

12. HaHa... Waking up the SO can be a problem.
I accidentally clicked on a myspace page with embedded audio the other night. I had the volume up and it woke up my GF. She was not happy.

13. I woke Oktoberain up one night because i couldn't stop laughing...
I was reading a comment thread at Fark.com, and though the subject matter of the news story was just sick and sad, the comments had me almost sliding out of the chair laughing.

She was mad at first, until i read her some of the better ones.

3. On a normal night, i'd have been in bed at 10:30p EDT
But i don't have to work tomorrow, so i can skew my sleep schedule a little tonight.
Normally i'm up for work at 4am... which sucks, but oh well.

9. 4:00 am???? Oy!
I used to have to do that, after working a swing shift and not getting home until midnight. And no way could I go to sleep right away, so I would return on just a couple of hours of sleep. (This only happened once a week, but it happened over a period of about 6 months.)

I finally told my supervisor that there was NO WAY I could continue doing that. By the time I got off the early Saturday shift, which followed the late Friday shift, it's a wonder I didn't fall asleep at the wheel and kill myself or someone else.

They needed me to be there on Fridays AND Saturdays, but they ended up creating a "mid-shift" for me, from noon to 7:00 pm on Fridays. That made such a big difference. I stopped looking and feeling like a cast member from Night of the Living Dead!

But I am constitutionally a night owl, and the job I have right now is ideal, because I work from home, AND I make my own schedule.

11. Currently, and temporarily, i am a breakfast cook...
I took a job in a restaurant, doing breakfast cook/baking duties... i usually work 5am until noon.

I'm looking for something better, though, and without the stupidity of the hours that i have now.

The one he's got with the M's is almost as bad as his Dodgers mug.

That's why I call him Psycho. He looks like between starts he carves up puppies. :scared:

But you know what? As long as he wins games, he could look like Bush or Cheney! (OMG, I really didn't say that, did I????? :scared: )

28. Well, prior to tonight's game, it was 10.97, so I think he made a
hell of an improvement tonight!

I am still withholding final judgment, though, until after he pitches his next couple of games.

But he really was on his game tonight, and I give him big props for that.

I remember once he shut out St. Louis on four or five hits, then turned around and got jacked up by Colorado or somebody.

His ERA's 8.56 now.

Bah. He struck out X Nady (local dude) twice. x(

36. I know, darlin', I know.
I will tell you this: if the BoSox fans start their incessant chanting again in the Mariner's house, they better watch out.

They did that last year, and I am happy to say that the Mariners' fans BOOOOOOOOOOOOED them into silence!

Asshats.

I rooted for you when you were in the WS, but don't come into MY house and act like it's yours. :grr:

As was so eloquently said by Ned Beatty in "Network",

"You have meddled with the primal forces of nature....And..you..will..atone!!!"

that was a magNIFicent performance by a very fine actor who never got his props. I was quite sad when he died a few months ago.

I loved Ned Beatty in damned near everything I ever saw him in. He was an incredible character actor, and I was genuinely saddened when I found out he had died.

Because I can. :P

I forgot about this Ronettes song, but I remember going into Instant Crush Mode with Elisabeth Shue when I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nly-bfguf4k

There's one more — didn't they do "Da Do Ron Ron," or was that another Motown girl group? I can't find a video for it. :(
