Apartment break-in
Some may remember that I had a break-in at my apartment a couple of months ago. Well today I just discovered something else missing from that burglary: a large box of CDs. He must have stolen them (although the box weighed at least 25 pounds so how could he carry that, my laptop, the Game Cube and a camera?) because I cannot find the box anywhere. Strangely I think the box was mostly jewel cases so the laugh is mostly on him. And the only reason I noticed at all is that I wanted to find a CD I hadn't heard in a while. Strange ho I never noticed it missing before.

Oh, and the police caught the alleged perpetrator. Or at least he "confessed". The detective told me he broke into 29 places and when they caught him, they drove him around and he pointed out all the places he hit. I am a little but skeptical though. I wonder how coerced the confession was and how much the police just wanted to close a case. But I am probably too cynical when it comes to the police in this town.

3. Wow...
well maybe you'll remember putting it somewhere else.

Sorry they didn't recover anything

have not had my house broken into, but have had my car broken into and some things were taken.

it is a violation and i felt great anger at the person. I did meet them in court, where the prosecutor and the defense PD made a plea deal, and they had to ask me if it was "okay" (i don't know if it would have mattered if i said no) to plead to a lesser charge. I said sure, and they assured me they'd pay for the window out of victim assistance funds. They did in fact.

nothing like my house being broken into and i know you've been dealing with that for a while.

:pals:

sorry that it happened at all
