Ronnie Hawkins appreciation thread

I only know about him because of that scene towards the beginning of the Last Waltz where he comes out to join his former employees the Band and is clearly relishing his moment in the spotlight, and delivers one of the most blistering and exuberant performances of the movie.

I was intrigued enough to pick up a copy of The Best of Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks when I saw it in a bargain bin.

The man fucking rocked, and had produced some of the best screams ever recorded.
