Brain-strain brought on by a pair of bumper stickers I saw today on the same car
The first: BUCK FUSH

The second: Welcome to America. Now speak English.

This was about six hours ago, and I swear my head just stopped spinning within the last few minutes.

1. My dear Orrex!
I've seen the BUCK FUSH one, and I think it's hysterically funny!

The second one is really something, esp. ganged with the first....

No wonder your head spun!

Mine would too!

:hi:

6. Hi CaliforniaPeggy!
I really busted my noggin trying to figure out if the vehicle's owner was a human or a Repub. I confess that I haven't reached any conclusion.

2. The really hardcore anti-illegal immigration people despise Bush over his immigration policies
Dana Rohrabacher, who is very right wing, was even talking about impeaching Bush if something happened to the 2 border guards in prison. So my guess is that the car was probably driven by a conservative.

3. Last year,
we had Democrats visiting our county headquarters saying some pretty harsh things about immigration. I argued a bit with a couple of them. I can't say I know enough to argue cogently.

My daughter was just in South America. Some of the people there approve of Canada's guest worker program.

7. yea that reminds me...

Saw a Dodge truck with these stickers

"We should be afraid of a government who is afraid of our guns"
"Cat...The other White Meat"

and

"Somewhere in Texas, a Village is Missing their idiot"

I would have felt better without sticker #3, but it appears we have some real dickwads on our side of the Bush fence as well.

8. When I moved into my house, the first thing I did
was remove the "Freedom isn't free" window clings and tiny, patriotic bows from the exterior.

About a month ago, a piece of mail came to the house for the previous owners, and it was from the DFL.
