Sean Hannity's Annual "Right Wing Guilt-aPalooza"....
(or should it be called "Troops died for nothing more then Conservative Arrogance-aroo") is scheduled for 5 cities in which 60,000 tickets were available and he is calling this a tremendous success. If a rock concert in a large stadium sold only 60k, it would be cancelled for lack of interest.

Yet Al Gore puts on a global show that reaches more then 2 billion and it is a failure.

Something about conservative math that I don't understand.

1. There is one upside.
Hannity's losing LOTS of listeners because of this crap. I work with Repugs who have turned his show off because he spends the entire summer talking about these fucking concerts. Even if he only has a quarter of Limbaugh's audience, he's still got 3-5 million people who he's boring the shit out of because of these 60,000 tickets. What a stupid dickwad.

This is one of those instances where I'm forced to agree with Repugs. If I had no intention of going to one of these concerts, I wouldn't want to hear every painstaking detail of the previous concert and the next one every goddamned day.

Here's something else that cracked me up: one guy in my office who's slightly to the right of Pat Robertson was yelling at his monitor (he streams Hannity even though it's easy to pick up on radio) and saying "If you want me to show up, put on some good fucking acts!" Apparently it's all country, and he can't stand country - another instance where I take the side of a Repug :)

2. Oddly its all washed up luke warm rockers and never been
country acts. Not likely to see the Black Eyed Peas or Kanye West at one of Hannity's shows. Maybe he's trying to attract a certain type of audience.

3. I don't know who is in the lineups, but I know Charlie Daniels was one of them, so
I guess I just assumed it'd be like that - Toby Keith, whoever that "I'm Proud to Be an American" guy is, etc.

6. I heard Boortz ramble on about this.
The right wing can get lots of air time on the corpses of dead soldiers.

11. Impressive.
Even those jerkoffs in the Blue Collar comedy tour, neither of which are funny (actually, none of them are), had too much class to tell Boortz's dead baby joke.

What? Did Yakoff Smirnoff have a prior commitment?

9. Ah. Thanks.
Never cared for the song, and I had the title wrong anyway, so I wasn't going to get it myself.

14. I wasn't even aware he had other hits until just today.
Apparently he had one or two other hits, one about a guy who buried his money in mason jars. I was just told what the other was about, but I really wasn't paying attention.

17. Charlie used to be a dope smokin' "Long haired country boy"
but then he found out that those crowds mostly expect you to hang out and just play....basically there ain't much money in it.

Play up to the red white and blue crowd ;-) and they pay REAL good.
