Super Troopers 2 is an upcoming American film. At the 2006 Comic-Con Convention in San Diego, California, comedy troupe Broken Lizard revealed that a prequel for the 2001 comedy film Super Troopers was in the works. Super Troopers 2 will take place in the 1970s and will be based around the fathers of the officers featured in the first movie<1>. The members of Broken Lizard will write and star in the film as they did before.
No Longer Expected in 2008
Paul Soter recently announced that this movie has been put on hold so the troupe can instead do The Babymaker. It is unknown when, or if, this movie will be made.<2>

The Babymaker is a upcoming comedy film, expected in 2008, currently in pre-production. It is the next project for the Broken Lizard comedy troupe. The film stars Kevin Heffernan as a man unable to impregnate his wife. However, five years prior he had donated his sperm to a bank that still has it, but has promised it to someone else. Together with some buddies, he must break into the sperm bank to retrieve his donation.
According to Paul Soter, the other members of Broken Lizard may not appear in this film. They are writing it as a starring vehicle for Heffernan and fear that appearing in even minor roles may detract from Heffernan's impact as the lead.<1>
A sequel/prequel to Super Troopers was previously thought to be the next Broken Lizard film.
