Horrible movie musicals.
Probably the worst movie musical I've seen is the musical remake of Frank Capra's "Lost Horizon". Horribly miscast (Peter Finch, Liv Ullmann, Sally Kellerman). With a score by Burt Bacharch and Hal David at his worst, lyric wise. Dreadful to watch.

2. Yeah, but that one is so horrible that it's fun
Did you ever see the old, old movie that had John Wayne singing in it? I can't remember the title - it was a western. That was a riot.

10. I was a child when I saw Paint Your Wagon in a movie theatre. I thought it was very
classy at the time having little to compare it to. I remember it as an attractively shot film with good sets and costumes. It's funny how you look at things when you are a kid. I liked how they dug tunnels under the saloons to go after the gold dust that fell between the floorboards -- yeah, believable. I remember Lee Marvin being wonderful and having sort of a crush on the girl lead.

7. Moulin Rouge is really bad, and it makes me dizzy
Edited on Wed Jul-18-07 12:57 PM by noonwitch
Baz Luhrman films make me dizzy. Paint Your Wagon is so bad that The Simpsons made fun of it.

I saw "Lost Horizon" as a kid, and liked it back then. I probably wouldn't like it if I watched it now.

The Wiz can be entertaining if one is in the appropriate frame of mind. I do love Evil-lene, and her song "Don't Bring Me No Bad News". My main problem with The Wiz is the casting of a too-old Diana Ross as Dorothy-as if they couldn't find a vocally talented african american teenager to play the part.

9. The First Nudie Musical

Utterly pointless, though Cindy Williams is rather dryly funny in it. Also, the producers seem not to have known that there's a difference between dildos and vibrators.

11. Sergeant Pepper starring Frampton and the Bee Gees
Understand: I love both Frampton and the Bee Gees.

But they had no business butchering the Beatles

14. Xanadu - I have a love/hate relationship with it
The music is great, but the movie itself is cringe-inducing. But it's so bad it's good.
