Japan's lonely hearts turn to dolls for sex, company
TOKYO, July 18 (Reuters Life!) - Real love is hard to find for one Japanese man, who has transferred his affection and desires to dozens of plastic sex dolls.

When the 45-year-old, who uses a pseudonym of Ta-Bo, returns home, it's not a wife or girlfriend who await him, but a row of dolls lined up neatly on his sofa.

Each has a name. Ta-Bo often watches television with his toys before bathing them, powdering them so that their skin feels more human, dressing them in lingerie and then taking them to bed.

"A human girl can cheat on you or betray you sometimes, but these dolls never do those thing. They belong to me 100 percent," says the engineer who has spent more than 2 million yen ($16,000) over the past decade on the dolls.

9. There was a documentary on BBCA
recently about men and their dolls.

There was a guy, around 50ish who had like 7 dolls. He did find a girlfriend who seemed to like him..... seemed to accept his fetish, but the doc narrator relates that she broke it off the next week.

Here's the page for the show: http://www.bbcamerica.com/content/245/index.jsp

10. a fetish is one thing but if this guy is developing fake relationships with
his plastic harem.....that I think would be more of a turn off than him having them as toys...and then there is the fact that he has more than one toy...

11. Wow
Not just buy the dolls for sex ($10,000 each), but to fall in love with them.

Thanks for that--I'll have to look for that on BBCA.

12. It's nice to have rich inner life
Hell I've got one bang up imagination, but that doesn't replace real people in my life, real laughter, real touch, real voices.

13. And, he can yell "Suck it baby, suck it" to his heart's content
and not have to worry about being brought up on sexual harrassment charges!

15. That is really sad.
Not 'sad' as in 'pathetic', but 'sad' as in 'tragic'.

Tragic that people will not be honest with each other.

Tragic that people will cheat on each other.

Tragic that people will dump a relationship over the smallest of spats.

Oh well. At least the sex doll and plastic industries are allowed to prosper.
