Ever met anyone who doesn't like both pineapple AND coconut?

:shrug: I've been on this earth for more than 44 years now, and TODAY I met the only two people I've ever met in my life that hate BOTH coconut AND pineapple. I've met one or two people that disliked one or the other, but not both. I personally love both, but I know not everyone does.

...must be a rural Northwest Ohio thing. Not sure that I know anybody that doesn't like pineapple.

It's been my experience that people who don't like coconut flavor are a recent arrival.

Most of the people who really get off on coconut sweets are of my parents, and older, generation. My dad loved his mom's coconut cake, and he loved LOVED almond joys/mounds.

But he liked real coconut, not artificial coconut.

Me personally, it's OK, I don't hate it but I don't go out of my way for it.

Is it just me, or is there a generational thing to whether or not you like coconut?

edit: Could not imagine even the remotest possibility of exisitng without pineapple! MMMmmmm. pineapple!

I like pina coladas, but I will not eat pineapple or coconut.

I always thought a lot of good food is ruined by shredded coconut, and I hate the texture of pineapple.
