So I bought my shampoo at Trader Joe's
and my hair is now very scary.

My hair is like a field of hay if I don't use a conditioner, even when it is humid.

8. Which Shampoo?
The Nourish Spa for $2.49 is actually Giovanni with special TJ fragrance (anything with a TJ label has a special fragrance added to TJ it up). Giovanni usually sells for about $7.00 for 6 oz. The Nourish Spa is great for dry hair (as in making normally dry hair not straw-like) but the other ones are not so great.
