With my wife starting a new job Monday, I asked (kinda at the last minute) for Thursday and Friday off for a quick weekend getaway. My request was declined because two co-workers already have off. No biggie.
Turns out now I'm being asked to cover for one of them (supervisors), causing me to start work at 4am the next two days. Ick.
