I guess I shouldn't laugh. I'm going to see The Moody Blues Light (no Mike Pinder/Patrick Moraz, no Ray Thomas). They're not like they were 20 or 30 years ago, but some set lists I've seen include songs I've never seen them perform, and they may very well be their last tour.

7. I'm glad for you
I don't have that kind of money to spend.

The joy for me in this one is that my son is coming with me, and he and I have been having tough times lately. For us to be doing this together is big.... and besides that, the show is Monday--my birthday.

8. It wasn't as bad as I thought
We're paying about $60 more than the tickets we would have got if we took what was still available.

Trust me, when Zeppelin goes on tour I'll take out a 2nd mortgage to get that close to the stage

4. I saw the Doobies farewell tour in 1982
My first concert that I saw without my parents was the Doobies at Red Rocks in 1982. I was 13, and witnessed some of the most wasted people I've ever seen to this day. It should have served as some sort of warning to me, but to my 13 year old way of thinking they were the coolest people I'd ever seen. Pretty intense crowd to send an unattended 13 year old into - not quite sure what the hell my parents were thinking!

I remember watching this hippie looking woman (who was probably all of 19) take a really bad fall down the stairs. She looked at me, tried to grab onto someone for balance, eyes rolling up into the back of her head, and proceeded to to faceplant into the rock stairs. Paramedics eventually made their way up the stairs and took her away.

Ahhhh.....good times!

13. No idea - never saw the Doobies in concert
This will be #5 for Steve Miller Band which ties him with Robert Plant for concerts I've seen the most.

16. Great show, two great bands
I saw Steve Miller for free about seven years ago....the last time the Jaguars won two playoff games in a row. They had a big pep rally where he headlined and then they had a big fireworks display.
He sounded just like he did twenty years ago which is what I like when seeing an older band. I hate it when they change their sound and their songs, I want them to sound just like they did on their old albums.
