A raw tube of bread dough, filled with sloppy joe meat. Insert stick, crimp the dough at the top and bottom, and deep-fry.

then, of course, coat in powdered sugar and drizzle with Coca-Cola syrup.

On a stick? With Thai peanut sauce?

And a couple of weeks ago I saw Les Stroud (Survivorman) grill up half a dozen scorpions on a stick. And eat them. Yum.

46. Many years ago, former Strib food editor Al Sicherman
found or figured out the recipes for various State Fair foods.

At the end of the article, he had the recipe for pickle-on-a-stick. (This was the follow-up to his recipes for Hostess Cupcakes and Hostess Twinkies.)

It read:
--------
1 large pickle
1 stick

Put stick lengthwise through pickle
---------

38. Inspired by Lauren Hutton in Africa ...
..."African Termites on a stick!"

several years ago there was this tv show about the lovely gap-toothed model doing something to help some rural African people and at night they'd sit around the fire snatching huge flying termites out of the air and downing them, one after another. Lauren joined in! She said they were tasty-crunchy!
Bon Appitite!?
