2. I like it!!
I like the colors, I like the lighting and fan fixtures, I like the exterior, I like the floors!

But the "only 7 murders" thing is a bit off-putting :scared:

If you want it, I hope you get it!! :hi:

36. What a great house!
I loved the hanging lamp in the dining room too, and love that it looks original or that it's a replica that stays true to the original style. So often those lights have been replaced with some awful 70's Grandma light.

And you two would make fun neighbors. You're every bit as cute "live" as you are online. :-)

53. Would that be Minta Durfee?
I was just re-reading the book about William Desmond Taylor's murder and they get mentioned a bunch. Loves me some Hollywood history.

The place is cute. And as long as the neighbors are cute....well there ya go!

About how old is it? Looks new-ish from the outside, but lots of retro touches inside.

Good luck with it.

5. "winders"???
I've never heard anyone prounounce "windows" as "winders" before.

Is that part of some regional dialect/accent in America that I'm just unfamiliar with?

Or is it just a personal quirk on the part of the speaker in the video?

14. it's beautiful. it's been 'staged' carefully.
man, it's none of my business, but is the owner a 'flipper'?

JMHO this is NOT the time I'd be looking to buy a house in LA. I'd be waiting another year for the bubble to fully deflate.

again, not my business but you may want to read some of this blog

http://drhousingbubble.blogspot.com/2007/05/housing-tipping-point-3-factors-that.html

all that being said, they have done a lovely job and it's a beautiful example of Craftsman style

46. I don't think they're a flipper.
They lived there for severals years. Plus they've dropped the price a couple of times.

Our place on the other hand will be bidding when we list it. Our condo building is one of the most wanted building in West Hollywood.

17. someone put *allot* of work into that place renovating but i like the kitchen...
you can tell where they would have put an island were they to have done so (i'd get a thicker, more permanent hardwood table/prep area up in there ;)) the floors are all hardwood & still look level, like an older guild house, nice appointments & living spaces; looks like a more modest 40-ish LA house...is it?

not that i'll stalk you guys, but what part of town...generally of course, i like it :bounce: :hi:
