Poll question: Solve JVS' digital music conundrum

I've been toying with the idea of getting the $150 Ipod

First question: Can I use regular headphones with an Ipod

Second question: what should I get

I bought a nano early last year and I'm not as pleased with it as I'd like. You can use regular headphones with it, though, yes.

The Creative players are supposed to be good, as well as Cowon and iriver.

7. my husband bought an i audio mp3 player for my son last year

he said it was 75-80 bucks and the newer ones have more memory. It doesn't have those "hipster" white ear cords, though,,, ;)

He has a Cowon player he got a year or two ago that has more functions than music - text, pictures, photos, you name it, but it's more bulky and cost 300 dollars.
